mercurial fate

as head of the dragon
started spewing fire
i ran for cover

i ran far away
and decided
never to return

super sun
musing moon
jovial jupiter
mighty mars
all messed around and went past
as a mute spectator only
when i suffered the worst ever despair

combust mercury
and thus always mocked
brought the mercurial twist
in the story

i’m back home
after 16 days and 15 nights

i’m least worried now
for i’ve pulled in my horns
i won’t care
even if saturn makes me sad or strong
venus makes me virile or vile

fucqueen fate is mercurial
it can fuck us any time it wants

blood moon

you realised that
it’s you who made me mad

that’s why you felt bad
hid under the murk
and turned red-faced too
thousands of miles away from me Blood MoonPhoto: Associated Press

mars dates moon

maiden evening
seeing mars and moon on date
i ran far away

but there to here, lights to woods
why did they chase me again?

blue butterfly

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ tanka: blue butterfly Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

with moon on backdrop
in rice field near river, hills
flew blue butterfly

i took out my camera
and captured it in the dream

Moon

gods on high

Jayabageshwari, Kathmandu

moon challenges them
gods come outside the temple
they are on high now

नीरव रातमा जून हाँस्दै पश्चिममा गई
सूर्य उदाउला भोलि नाच्दैवर्दै उसैगरी ।।

blooming bosom

floating above the waxing moon
jupiter plays peek-a-boo
with a patch of milky cloud

i can see
a giant bosom
they have formed  in the heavens

now, i recall a lass in her salad days
sipping coffee
and stealing a glimpse of me
at a mall
before the sunset

the dots
daring the white fabric
above her blooming moons
equate to jupiter
in this celestial parallel

euphoric about the completeness
that it will acquire tomorrow
one bright moon
flirts with so many black and white clouds
one after another
and dances past the zenith
making the mountains jealous
leaving me puzzled

does the moon know
the day after tomorrow
it has to witness the bane
go on the wane?

is it giving a demonstrative lesson
on impermanence
telling me to
learn the mantra of
carpe diem?

haikus: what’s so right, what’s so wrong with me

restless, sleepless, numb
i seek purpose of living
what’s so right with me?

i’ve no appetite
delicacies turn me off
what’s so wrong with me?

i sweat though it’s cold
head is hotter than heater
what’s so right with me?

i fly blindfolded
i feel i’m rocket to moon
what’s so wrong with me?

if not overdose
it’s free, anxiety for fun
who cares right or wrong?

the moon peeped at me
through thick curtains
hung to block the brutal january cold
with continuous winks and a meaningful smile,
invited me for a date under the sky
at midnight

the moon is still there
throwing a hanging hug
probably waiting for my response
ignorant of my reluctance

i won’t go
i will let the moon glow
and further grow

i will bide my time instead
i will wait for eternity
for the venus
— now combust and retrograde–
to return to me
and unravel the mystery
why my love is unrequited

shooting stars

the imminent manoeuvre of fireballs
after the moonset
till the break of the day
has not attracted me
this time

i am tired of
this depressingly dark anima

let’s catch up in the morning dream
make a wish
at the time
the shooting stars would be lighting up the sky

for our life and vitality
 let’s make peace
let’s make this wish

we can see the meteor shower
next time
