Protein technique

Today I could not finish “Protein Techniques.” Even not going to the University, I tried my best to go through the chapter. But many things disturbed me.

I like this book written by Garrett and Grisham and published by Thomson, Brooks/Cole. The authors are Biochemistry professors at the University of Virginia. If you read books authored by experienced scientists, you will learn a lot of things. I have pity over those persons in Science—Indians and Nepalis—who plagiarise things and sometimes just compiles chapters from different books, and pose themselves as learned authors.

 I was talking about protein techniques. Let me recall some steps in the purification scheme of the macromolecule. With the pneumonic I have made.

 Dialysis and Ultrafiltration (DU=Do)

Size Exclusion Chromatography (SexC=Sexc)

Electrophoresis (E)

SDS-PAGE (SP== S pls)

Isoelectric Focusing (IF)

Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis (2D)

Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC)

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Affinity Chromatography (AC)

Ultracentifugation (UC)

 Do Sex E S-pls If  2D Hic High Ach Uc
I don’t want to make it more funny.
