Oh, it was 2053 when our results were out. I passed out with flying colours. Distinciton? Yes, it was. Though I obtained more than 80 per cent marks, no such a word has been mentioned in the marksheet.
Nirmala, my third cousin, passed this year in first division. Yesterday Kamal mama’s face was worth enough to see time and again. He was more than happy with his daughter’s result.
Oh, yes, Prasanna too has written something about the SLC results and the World CUp. He has spoken out my mero “man ko kuraa.”
So, why no to drag him here? Let me resort to “copy and paste” phenomenon.
(From Prasanna’s blog)
So the SLC results are out !
What is important about this year’s SLC is that its exactly 10 years from the time I appeared in it. Thats a whole decade away. Thats a whole generation in between. And thats also a reminder to me that time never stops , contrary to my belief that it would, at least for me.
President bush turned 60 today and a commentator remarked that the president must have realized by now that life is not an open ended oppertunity one after the another. Right now I , perhaps am at the center of stream where I feel I have an open ended oppertunity, just waiting for me, and I can afford to cruise along , leaving one and catching the other. And if I am not wise enough to stick to one, it wont be long before I too will realize that the stream has dried out, and I am left with sand and peebles.
During Italia ’90 I was in class 5. And I used to think like in the next world cup, I will already be in class 9. Then came USA ’94 and I was already thinking like the next world cup will see me through SLC, through Intermediate, and into a university. It happened likewise. During Korea-Japan ’02 I thought I will be watching the next world cup from some other country. It happened likewise. Now in Germany ’06, what should I be thinking? Man! now I m thinking I am getting old. I hope I will live to watch the Africa’10 .
